El trailer de un minuto y medio de "Surgical Steel", el primer álbum de CARCASS desde su reunión, puede ser visto al final de esta noticia. El trabajo será lanzado el 13 de septiembre a través de Nuclear Blast Records. Ha sido producido por Colin Richardson (FEAR FACTORY, MACHINE HEAD, NAPALM DEATH, SLIPKNOT, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE) y mezclado por Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ACCEPT, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY).
La formación actual de la banda se compone del guitarrista Bill Steer, y del bajista y cantante Jeff Walker. A ellos le acompañan el nuevo batería Dan Wilding (ABORTED, TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED) y el guitarrista Ben Ash (PIG IRON, DESOLATION, LIQUEFIED SKELETON).
